PAINT CORRECTION
What is a Paint Correction?
Paint Correction is the process of safely removing defects from the clear coat to restore clarity, depth and gloss to the paintwork.
Rather than simply hiding these imperfections with waxes or fillers, paint correction uses professional machine polishing to carefully level a microscopic amount of clear coat, reducing or removing the damaged surface and revealing a cleaner, clearer finish underneath.
The goal isn’t to chase every last mark at the expense of the paint, it’s to achieve the best possible improvement while preserving as much clear coat as possible.
What can Paint Correction improve?
SWIRL MARKS
LIGHT SCRATCHES
WATER SPOTTING
OXIDATION
HAZE & DULLNESS
LOSS OF GLOSS
GLOSS ENHANCEMENT VS PAINT CORRECTION
GLOSS ENHANCEMENT
Designed to improve gloss, clarity and depth with a lighter machine polish. It can reduce light imperfections, but the mail goal is the enhance the overall appearance rather than remove significant defects. For most people, the finish after a gloss enhancement will already look exceptional, even though some deeper defects may still remain.
PAINT CORRECTION
Paint Correction is focused on safely removing as many visible defects as possible, including swirl marks, scratches, oxidisation and haze. The level of correction depends on the condition and thickness of the paint, with the goal of achieving 90-100% defect removal where it can be performed safely while preserving the clear coat thickness.
